Development of a fully distributed version of Project Facilitator has been proceeding in parallel with the LAN version of the product for eighteen months at the time of writing. While maintaining the ease of use and comprehensive facilities of the first version, v2 will allow users to access their data from any location with a broadband connection.

In addition to much improved performance in the multi-user scenario and a more flexible user interface, the new version offers:

  • A comprehensive upgrade path from v1 products.
  • Managed or individual organisation based servers.
  • Task oriented user interfaces, minimising the training requirements to those required for a particular job profile.
  • Multi-level project hierarchies, allowing sub-projects to be associated with overall objectives.
  • Multi-project report data aggregation.
  • The ability to choose sub-sets of the PCM system to suit individual requirements and budgets.
  • Best practice derivation from actual Q.A. data sets.
  • Project Type based templating, minimising design time in existing fields.
  • Distributed secure access to multiple organisation's servers, for data sharing.

Where appropriate, data sets from each of these products will be interchangeable within the package family, allowing a fully integrated approach to full life-cycle project design and management.
